NetCrafter Relay

Schema-driven code generation for Unity co-op games built on a coturn TURN/STUN relay. No dedicated game server, no port forwarding, no CGNAT problems — just a join code.

Built for Small Co-op, Not MMOs

No server to provision

Host logic (HostActionRouter.cs) compiles into the same client build as everyone else. Whoever hosts just calls Connect() — there's no VPS to set up, no JAR to deploy.

Join codes, not IP sharing

Every peer opens a TURN allocation on the relay. Joining means resolving a short code like GAME-4892 — no port forwarding, and it works behind CGNAT.

Same schema-driven workflow

Define messages, events, models, and host actions as ScriptableObject assets, then click Generate — the same visual editor approach as NetCrafter, retargeted at a relay instead of SFS3.

A Companion Asset to NetCrafter

NetCrafter Relay is a separate Pivec Labs asset, forked from NetCrafter's schema-driven codegen architecture and retargeted at a coturn relay instead of SmartFoxServer 3. It does not require NetCrafter or SFS3 — it's fully standalone, built for small co-op games (2–4 players typical, up to 8–10) where a full MMO-capable dedicated server is more infrastructure than the game needs.

If you need a server-authoritative MMO/large-room architecture instead — hundreds of concurrent users, zones and rooms, full proximity/interest management — that's what NetCrafter (Pivec Labs' SFS3-based sibling product) is for. The two are independent installs; this documentation set covers NetCrafter Relay only.
